Breakups

physical effects of a break up:

Going through a break up is a very tough process. Neurobiologists explain that the supply of "feel good" chemicals in your body diminish after a break up, leaving you more vulnerable to the effects of stress hormones. Those stress hormones cause swollen muscles, headaches, a stiff neck, a squeezing sensation in your chest, a disturbed digestive system and a compromised immune system that can leave you susceptible to bacteria and viruses.

How to try and Avoid these effects:

Its very Important to expand the distance with your ex partner.  Not calling someone back (ever),  Ignore texts or emails, avoiding places or situation they might be. These methods generate confusion and ambiguity, causing undue hurt to the target of the break up.

Avoid the dreaded and trite "lets still be friends" line. For most people that are being dumped the last thing they want to do or even conceive of is being friends with a former romantic partner. Its easier for a dumper to shorten the blow or retain some kind of friendship to the dumpee, but its selfish to expect the other person to change relationship definition so quickly. Maybe over time something can be salvaged that work for both parties.
